- FidoNet is a network of bulletin boards that exchange mail and
- news. Systems accessible via FidoNet have there zone, net & node
- numbers listed, for more information logon to a FidoNet system,
- some have full details of the network online for browsing by
- users.

- The registry has a special area within FidoNet called BBS_NEWS
- the latest news and changes are always in this area.

- GTNet

- A relatively new network based on Paul Meiners' GT Power
- Shareware programmes. GT Power offers both Terminal and Host
- modes in the one programme. NetMail programmes are provided for
- communication with other GT systems.

- Registration of GT does not imply automatic entry into the Net.
- Registration is giving the author, Paul Meiners, his due. The
- local Net (which is actually an Association) is a collection of
- individuals who have determined that a certain standard needs be
- met before an applicant is accepted into the Net.
